Senior / Procurement Engineer
In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and procurement strategies by reviewing and managing supplier performance to ensure competitiveness in term of quality, cost and delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage supplier identification, supplier sourcing/selection, negotiation, agreement and supplier performance
  • Perform part cost structure analysis to achieve best price based on required specification
  • Supplier profile and material info record (e.g. price, lead time, payment term, MOQ/SPQ) management in ERP system
  • Develop, implement and drive the procurement strategies in order to meet cost savings targets
  • Coordinate with supplier quality development and purchasing teams to prepare monthly supplier performance reports and to share the information to suppliers
  • Assist engineering team to find and develop suitable supplier candidates
  • Clarify to supplier on price discrepancy topic between invoice and agreed price

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial
  • Experience in engineering and procurement
  • Able to read and understand part drawings and requirements
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Have a good knowledges and skills in production process and BoM cost analysis (Mechanical parts – e.g. stamping, plastic injection, rubber, and casting; Electrical parts – e.g. PCBA, module, HMI, and battery system)
  • Proficiency with personal computers, specifically Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge and direct experience in negotiating contracts and quotations with suppliers
  • Able to travel local and overseas for supplier visits and audits
  • Candidates with relevant years of experience will be considered for senior positions

Product Development Engineer, Plastics
In this role, you will be responsible for the development of plastic components for Scorpio Electric products from 3D CAD development to work with chassis engineer and styling specialist, assisting purchaser to identify potential suppliers and discuss manufacturability and costing concerns, as well as co-develop manufacturable drawings including selection of materials, secondary processes, and finishing.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in product requirement definitions
  • Convert sketches and surfaces into manufacturable 3D CAD data
  • Work with purchaser to identify potential suppliers as well as work together to address manufacturability and cost matters
  • Prepare 2D manufacturing drawings including GD&T, specifications on materials, secondary processes, finishing, including critical dimensions
  • Maintain a working order of part numbering and versioning of the body panels components
  • Co-work with team members and suppliers on APQP related process and documentations

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience with most CAD software especially related to surfacing, Creo working experience will be huge advantage
  • Understanding of typical materials and processes used for plastic prototyping and mass production
  • Experience in cross-functional development including joining to metal components as well as electromechanical assembly
  • Experience in organizational standards such as ISO 9001, and automotive standard procedures in APQP (including PPAP, PSW)
  • Experience with product development cycle for plastic components including prototyping, first article, part approval process, testing
  • Able to learn and work independently as well as team player in a lean environment
  • Good written and oral communication skill
  • Candidates with relevant years of experience will be considered for senior positions

R&D Engineer, Firmware

In this role, you will be responsible for the development and testing of firmware, and to ensure high quality delivery for Scorpio Electric’s electric motorcycle. The candidate for this role will require to be both hands-on in software/firmware development and project management support.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in product requirement definitions.
  • Define firmware and communication architecture
  • Develop firmware requirement, specification documentations, test strategy/methodology, test plans and cases
  • Develop firmware and communication protocol via CAN, Bluetooth, BLE and mobile internet
  • Develop drivers and abstraction layers for application development
  • Support PCBA design inputs and system level integration with Electrical/Electronics and System Engineers
  • Conduct validation tests and participate in design reviews

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience with firmware development in full product development cycle
  • Experience with one of automotive and industrial series of microcontrollers.
  • Experience in cross-functional development debugging with Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical team
  • Familiar with microcontroller GPIO, CAN, ADC, PWM, timers, interrupt, etc.
  • Familiar with validation process, requirements management system, issue tracker and version control
  • Familiar with regulatory requirements, standards is preferred

Experience in at least one of the following domains will be advantageous:

  • Bootloader and OTA
  • IoT and Cloud architecture
  • Real-time system architecture and design
  • Functional Safety, hazard analysis, FMEA, V-design process
  • MATLAB tools or embedded development tools (emulators, oscilloscope)
  • Removable battery charging system and control

R&D Engineer, Electronics

In this role, you will be responsible for the development of electrical and electronics design, and to ensure its integration for Scorpio Electric’s electric motorcycle. The candidate for this role will require to be both hands-on in hardware design development and project management support.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in product requirements definitions
  • Develop hardware requirement and specification documentations
  • Participate in test strategy development, methodology, test plans and cases
  • Design and integrate power electronics and motor control system
  • Integrate, characterize and improve powertrain and electrical drive system and efficiencies
  • Support E/E and system level integration with Mechanical/Vehicle Engineers
  • Participate in DFM, DFA, DFT
  • Conduct validation tests and participate in design reviews

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent
  • Involved with electronics design in full product development cycle
  • Experience with bring up, characterize and integration of E/E system is preferred
  • Experience with cross-functional development and debugging with Mechanical/Firmware team required
  • Experience with regulatory compliances (EMC) and industrial standards would be advantageous
  • Familiar with schematics capture / layout design tools and electronics measurement instruments (oscilloscope, data logger)
  • Familiar with validation processes, requirements management system and issue tracker is preferred

In this role, you will be responsible for the development of design test strategies and implementation, and field issue resolutions. The candidate for this role will require to be both hands-on in tester development and project management support.

  • Develop unit and sub system test requirement and specification documentations
  • Develop test strategy, methodology, test plans and cases
  • Support manufacturing engineering on DFM, DFA, DFT
  • Conduct validation tests and participate in design reviews
  • Support field issues resolutions

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent
  • Involved with electronics design in full product development cycle

In this role, you will be responsible for the support development of product testing and field issue resolutions. The candidate for this role will require to be both hands-on in tester construction and testing of product.

  • Participate in product design requirements definitions
  • Develop tester as per test requirement and specification documentations
  • Conduct validation tests as per test plans and cases
  • Support manufacturing engineering on DFM, DFA, DFT
  • Support field issues resolutions
